Program Note
We will meet countless individuals throughout our lives. Some for a moment, others for a lifetime. But, at the end of the day, it matters not how many characters we encountered, or even how long we spent in their presence. The resonant bond between inseparable friends remains unchallenged—unchallengeable. Such a bond will withstand any trial we come to face. Such a bond will encourage us to stand valiantly against fear. No one can stand alone, and the best of us stand together.
It is difficult to describe the genuine impact of others on our lives. Yes, we can make assessments to their benevolence or ability to teach or inspire. But, in words, we lose the great nuance that establishes the basis for the impressions upon us. In a friendship we find fun; we find interest. We find trust; we find comfort. Those by which we have the pleasure of interacting with can have an impact beyond even these cherished qualities. Their effect can be profound to say the least.
In this journey we call “life,” there will be many toils. Each more difficult than the last. But do not lose hope. For, in friends, we can achieve more than any before. In friends, you will always have fun. Take the future unbridled. Challenge yourself. Find what you love.
And know, that what you hope to find might already be beside you.
